Another Great Month for NUKB

Last month, I mentioned that our membership had grown considerably, to 327, from the figures in July that were 227. I'm glad to report that we have done it again, breaking the 400 mark, and hitting 420 members. Whilst we are growing quickly, I'm glad to say that we are not becoming like some others bike websites, that consist of flame wars and nastiness, but maintaining the community feel to the site.

Ride-Outs

Superb news, is that, we have now run 68 ride-outs to date this year, and that is more than any of the other ride-out club sites, even those that have been established far longer, and with a larger membership, . Domains

I'm glad to report that I have renewed our domains, some of which i have dropped, due to not needing them any longer. I have also renewed our hosting package that NUKB resides on.

Some may have noticed our new hosting package, for www.northukbikers.co.uk, which is another unlimited account, which has been provided by www.jimboswebhosting.co.uk who are extremely professional web hosts, with a vast amount of experience.

Its an excellent package, that helps us expand even more, the unlimited account is brilliant, and it is very reliable.

New Domains

www.northukbikersclub.co.uk and www.ride-out.co.uk are now under the NUKB group of sites. www.ride-out.co.uk is now a feeder site, to help people using google & other search engines find us :) but it may become a lot more in the future! Thanks to Andy Morris at www.thewzd.com for the domain.

Site Redesign & General Tidy.

As I'm sure you can tell, I have been redesigning the site slowly, hopefully all the pages will be done in the next couple of weeks, I have also made added some navigation upon the front page, to the most important areas of the forum, so that it's nice and easy to get to.

I have also sorted out the forum, condensing down the forums and categories, and removing some of the little used or pointless areas that were set up by ex administrators. It is now a lot tidier, and easier to navigate. The forum also runs a lot quicker, having rebuilt the boards, and generally tidied everything up.

2nd Birthday Party

During October, it is our official site Birthday, so, on the forum, we are planning the celebrations. It will be a members only party, along with maybe some of our NUKB Partners.
