The NUKB Grading System
Having 1400+ members means that not all riders on NUKB Ride-Outs have the same riding skills, so, rather than join a ride-out where you don't know what the pace will be, or how many stops will be involved etc, we introduced the traffic light system last year, and it has proved very popular.
How it works.
RED Grade
Technical - Progressive - Experienced - Distance - Not many stops. Experienced Riders & Pillions only.
AMBER Grade
Similar hard section as the Red ride-outs, Testing in areas - More stops, not as fast as the Red grade
GREEN Grade
Learners and new riders - Pillions and new pillions - Lots of stops - Scenic type routes. Sedate pace.

Ride-Out Systems
Our North UK Ride-Outs are organised by our ride-out leaders, and we operate a grading system, where ride-outs are graded in terms of pace, distance, number of stops etc, for more information on this, see our forum.
We operate a variety of Ride systems, as not all systems suit all ride-outs, so it is up to the ride leader, to decide on the system used, depending on the amount of riders, the grade of ride and any other contributing factors. One thing is certain though, be it the drop off system, or a corner marshalled / Back marker ride-out, nobody ever gets left behind.
We run ride-outs on a very regular basis (2 or 3 per week during the good weather months), and cover the entirity of the North of England, with ride-outs starting from and terminating in Lancashire, Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Northumberland, Derbyshire, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and occasionally into Europe.
All typed of riders are welcomed on our ride-outs, and new riders & returning / nervous bikers are especially welcomed.
